Instructions for use: remove the bolt according to the manufacturer?s instructions and slide the patch guide through the receiver until it seats in the chamber. When you feel the O-ring seal and slight resistance, stop pushing, as excessive force may damage the O-ring. Place a correctly sized dry cleaning patch on the patch tray, add cleaning solvent or oil, and push the cleaning rod forward so that the patch attaches to the rod and passes through the barrel. The patch tray can also be used for applying solvent to brushes. Remove the guide by gently twisting it and pulling it out of the chamber and upper receiver.

Maintenance and adapter replacement: a small drop of oil on the O-ring reduces wear and extends the service life of the O-ring. When replacing the adapter, locate the hex socket locking screw under the angled patch tray, loosen it with a 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) hex key, remove the adapter, and install the new adapter in place. On certain rifles, the adapter must be rotated into the correct position so that the angled patch tray points straight upward, after which the locking screw is tightened.
