BoreTech Action Clean Tool Kit Rimfire is a cleaning tool kit designed for thorough cleaning of the chamber, throat and action of rimfire bolt-action rifles. It helps remove lead, wax and powder fouling produced by rimfire ammunition, the buildup of which can cause malfunctions and reduce accuracy.
Traditional fixed cleaning rods are often too thick to pass the extractor inside a rimfire action. The kit?s 50.8 cm polished stainless steel rod is machined to a smaller diameter, allowing it to be guided past the extractor without damaging firearm components. The long rod keeps the handle behind the stock, reducing interference from a high cheekpiece and preventing hands from striking the stock during use.
The Proof-Positive nylon chamber brush is barrel-safe and features twice the number of extra-stiff bristles. Its design provides effective brushing and speeds up cleaning of the chamber and throat. The cotton chamber mop, in turn, loosens debris and removes cleaning solvent and remaining residue.
The polymer cleaning pick enables precise cleaning of the bolt face, breech end of the barrel, locking area and hard-to-reach locations without the risk of damaging surfaces. The double-ended nylon gun brush is suitable for cleaning the action and other components. All parts are supplied in a transparent plastic tube with a screw cap and hanging hole.

Begin cleaning by moistening the chamber mop with cleaning solvent and inserting it into the chamber and throat. Rotate the mop to remove loose debris. Next, treat the chamber and throat with the moistened nylon chamber brush. Heavily fouled areas may require additional brushing.
Allow the cleaning solvent to work for 3-5 minutes. Extremely heavily fouled areas require a longer dwell time. Next, insert a clean, dry mop into the chamber and throat to remove the cleaning solvent and loosened residue. The chamber must be dried completely.
Finally, clean and dry the bolt face, breech end of the barrel and action using the included double-ended nylon brush and polymer cleaning pick. After maintenance, Bore Tech Extreme Grease HD is recommended for the rear surfaces of the locking lugs and the bolt shroud.
