Aimpoint 9000SC 2 MOA is a medium-length tube-style red dot sight designed for hunting. It is the shorter version of the 9000 series and is especially suitable for rifles with short actions, semi-automatic firearms and magnum handguns when used with appropriate mounting hardware.
The 2 MOA red dot provides a small aiming point for fast yet controlled aiming. Magnification is 1x and eye relief is unlimited, so the shooter does not need to position the eye at a precise distance from an eyepiece.
Dot brightness is controlled with a 10-position rotary switch. The manufacturer states up to 50,000 hours of operating time from a DL1/3N battery, allowing the sight to remain continuously ready for use for long periods.
The 9000SC housing is based on Aimpoint's Comp-series construction and has an extended rear tube for the use of two ring mounts. The sight weighs approximately 206 g without mounts and is water resistant to a depth of 5 metres.
