The Hero 7/9 Cassette is the perfect choice for dedicated stillwater anglers who need to switch between fly lines of different densities. It comes with three clear cassettes and a zippered fabric pouch for storage. The cassettes feature a flat surface for line indicators – either attach a sticker or write directly on the cassette with a permanent marker. The locking system is a proven ring mechanism borrowed from our XLV Stillmaniac reel. It’s quick and easy to use – simply loosen the ring one turn and pull out the cassette. No need to remove the ring entirely. Aside from the cassette feature, the reel is identical to the Hero 79, meaning the capacity, size, and brake system are well tested and proven.
