Spey Cape Pro Grade

Whiting Spey Cape Pro Grade rooster capes feature feathers bred specifically for tying Spey flies. These feathers have very long barbs, which allow for long and lively hackles on Spey flies. The feathers closely resemble the hard-to-find heron feathers traditionally used for Spey fly hackling.

Whiting Spey Cape Pro Grade also provides lively hackling for various shrimp patterns, the most famous of which is probably the sea trout fly Pattegrisen. Even traditional salmon flies like the General Practitioner can be given a very lively appearance by replacing the traditional rooster hackling with Whiting's Spey hackles.
