Scientific Anglers UST Short Float-Sink3

Scientific Anglers UST Short shooting heads are a new, shorter version of the familiar UST (Ultimate Scandi Taper) shooting head. The 9.5-11.1m shooting heads are easy to handle in tight spaces and easy to lift into a new cast. These shooting heads are ideal for shorter double-handed rods and with large flies.

Scientific Anglers UST Short shooting head uses the so-called Sliding Density technology, which means the density of the line changes smoothly, instead of a gradual variation. In traditional shooting heads, for example, the base can be floating, the middle part intermediate, and the tip sinking at sink 2 speed. In Sliding Density lines, there are no clear density differences between the floating base and the sink 2 sinking tip, but the density and sinking speed change evenly towards the tip.
