The new Salt HD is a tuned version of the Sage Salt rod series, which set the bar for modern saltwater fly rods when it was released. With this rod, you won't be left behind in any situation! Each rod in the series is designed and built with the most typical fishing destinations for its class in mind, so all Salt HD rods are slightly different from each other. The lighter rods are designed to deliver flies with great precision to tailing bonefish on sandy flats, while the heavier rods are intended for permit, barracuda, large tarpon, GTs, and tuna. 

Sage Salt HD fly rods are made using the latest KonneticHD technology, which makes the blanks even lighter, stronger, and above all, more accurate to cast. The saltwater-resistant hard chrome guides are tied to a black blank with black thread, and the whole ensemble is crowned with a high-quality cork handle and a matte black aluminum reel seat.
