Rio Mainstream Type 6 Full Sink -sinking fly line is intended for still water fishing, for example, in rainbow trout ponds and mountain lakes. The fast-sinking line delivers the fly deep, allowing you to retrieve faster than with a slow-sinking line while still maintaining the desired depth. You can also start retrieving earlier than with a slow-sinking line, as you don't have to wait for the fly to sink. This line is also an excellent option for retrieving Booby flies.
Rio Mainstream Type 6 Full Sink fly line is built around a braided, thin core, which has been designed to keep the overall diameter of the line as small as possible to facilitate sinking. The coating is impregnated with tungsten to make it heavy without unnecessarily increasing the line's diameter. The line is slightly heavier than the AFTMA rating to make casting as easy and effortless as possible.
Rio Mainstream Type 6 Full Sink fly line features:
- Thin, braided core
- Tungsten-impregnated coating
- Heavier than the rating to facilitate casting
- Aggressive, strong front taper
