Patagonia M's Classic Retro-X Vest Dark Natural w/Basin Green is a warm and windproof fleece vest for men, combining the classic look of the Retro-X collection with updated materials and a more relaxed fit. The soft, approx. 6.4 mm (1/4 in.) pile fleece is made from 100% OceanCycle-certified Repreve recycled polyester, sourced from material collected by coastal communities vulnerable to plastic pollution. The vest provides wind-protective warmth for layering and versatile outdoor use.
The body of the vest is made from soft, heat-trapping fleece and lined with 100% recycled polyester taffeta. The lining features a DWR finish made without intentionally added PFAS, helping the surface repel moisture. The regular fit and more relaxed silhouette support wearing comfort and make it easy to pair the vest with other layers.
The fleece-lined stand-up collar feels soft against the skin and adds warmth around the neck. The outer collar and trim use NetPlus nylon, made entirely from postconsumer recycled fishing nets to help reduce plastic pollution in the oceans. A full-length zipper and an internal wind flap create an effective front construction that helps block cold drafts.
The zippered left chest pocket is made from NetPlus recycled nylon. In addition, the vest features two zippered handwarmer pockets lined with soft-brushed 100% recycled polyester tricot. The pocket design references Retro-X styles from the early 2000s. Finished bindings at the collar, front zipper, armholes and hem support durable construction and a neat fit.
The lining and trim fabrics are bluesign-approved. The product is made in a Fair Trade Certified factory in Vietnam, where the makers receive an additional premium for their work. Recycled materials and more responsible manufacturing complete the Retro-X vest's construction designed for long-lasting use.
