Lamson Litespeed F Wild Child – a large-arbor fly reel designed for demanding fishing and a distinctive appearance. This limited edition combines bold colors and splash anodization with the Litespeed platform's lightness, high retrieval speed, and refined disc drag. Available in freshwater Litespeed F5 and F7 sizes as well as their saltwater counterparts M8 and M10, the finish provides a corrosion-resistant and durable surface that catches the eye on the water.
The construction is based on CNC-machined lightweight yet rigid frame, where the material is distributed according to load paths: the reel is stable, reliable, and extremely lightweight. The super-arbor scale delivers a high retrieval rate per gram, the open spool promotes line drying and reduces weight. The characteristic smooth operation of the Litespeed remains – larger diameter, lower mass, and balanced comfort for long fishing days.
On the drag side, the reel utilizes an updated conical drag system with linearly progressing springs, providing predictable drag feel and fine adjustment, especially in the light range. The click-indexed drag knob facilitates repeatable settings, and improved dynamic seals are designed to prevent water and dirt ingress (possible IPX rating when the reel is assembled). Arbor diameters and ratios follow the Force SL series, offering the highest retrieval rate in the WLW series as well as a larger diameter and lower weight than the Speedster S.
