Hareline Premo Deer Hair Strip info:

Skin piece approx 30x6cm
Hair length 3-5cm
High quality hair
Big pack

Deer body hair is commonly used for making deer hair heads. For example, the head of the famous Muddler Minnow streamer is made from deer hair. The famous Bomber salmon dry fly is also made from this hair. Deer body hair is hollow, which causes it to flare strongly when tied onto a hook. When tying deer hair heads, it is advisable to use strong thread, which allows you to tie it tightly without the risk of cutting the hair. Once the appropriate amount of hair is tied onto the hook as a "hedgehog", it is cut into the desired shape with scissors or a razor blade. By combining different colors, you can create various patterns on the head, such as colorful hot spots, etc.
