The EOTECH Vudu X 1-6x24 SFP is a 1-6x magnification LPVO riflescope suitable for short to medium range shooting. This model features a second focal plane BD1 reticle, a 30 mm barrel, and an illuminated reticle. The 1x magnification provides a wide field of view for quick aiming, while the 6x magnification makes it easier to see smaller and more distant targets more accurately.
The BD1 reticle is based on a clear duplex-style design with the addition of ballistic reticle dots for elevation correction. The second focal plane (SFP) design maintains the visible size of the reticle as magnification changes, making the reticle familiar throughout the entire magnification range. The illuminated reticle makes it easier to distinguish the reticle in varying lighting conditions.
The optics use XC High-Density glass and low dispersion glass elements, as well as anti-reflective lens coatings. The design aims for a clear image, good color reproduction and contrast even in challenging lighting conditions. The 24 mm objective lens keeps the whole package compact, and the 30 mm body tube allows for a wide range of binocular mounts.
The frame is made of aircraft-grade aluminum in a single-piece tubular structure and finished with anodizing. The sight is nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging, and an O-ring seal protects the structure from moisture and dust. The manufacturer states that the structure is resistant to water, fogging, shock and recoil.
Magnification changes are made easy with the removable throw lever and laser-engraved magnification ring. This makes it quick to switch between 1x and 6x magnifications, for example when the shooting distance or target size changes quickly.
The eye relief is 84-99 mm across the 1-6x magnification range, according to the manufacturer. The field of view at 100 yards is 33.5 meters at 1x magnification and 5.8 meters at 6x magnification. The adjustment click value is 0.5 MOA, and the total movement of both elevation and windage is 160 MOA.
The illumination is powered by a single CR2032 battery. With an overall length of 261 mm and a weight of 505 g, the Vudu X offers the features of a 1-6x LPVO in a relatively compact package.
