Kuusamo Räsänen Helmi Ruohikko is a Finnish made classic lure that is very effective for pike! Those big pikes lurk on the edge of the reed bed! There's nothing more frustrating when fishing than seeing pikes frolicking among the reeds but not being able to catch them. With a regular lure, as soon as you throw it in there, it gets stuck in the weeds. However, the clever reed-protected hook from Kuusamo doesn't get stuck; its steel whiskers keep obstacles away from the hook. When the pike bites the hook, the whiskers collapse, and the needle-sharp hooks dig into the pike's jaws. This lure is at its best early in the season when the reeds are short, so-called stubble reeds. In the middle of summer, really big perch are in the midst of the water lilies, and this is the solution for catching them too.
