MaxLi Lithium Ion Battery - a great new lithium battery on the market. These batteries are designed especially for boating and are excellently suited for bow-mount trolling motors, electric outboards and all the electronics on the boat.
The MaxLi Marine 12V 60Ah and 12V 100Ah as well as 24V 50Ah - 24V 100Ah batteries have a Bluetooth app that makes it easy to monitor the battery status during the day. You quickly get information on how much charge and voltage the battery has, but the app also tells you, among other things, the battery's operation, temperature, number of charge cycles and, for example, any warnings from the battery's BMS controller. The MaxLi Marine BMS controller manages the battery's operation and prevents the battery from being fully discharged or overcharged, and for this reason lithium batteries are a much longer-lasting and therefore always a more economical solution than AGM batteries.
All MaxLi Marine batteries are LiFePO4 lithium batteries and are therefore very durable and long-lasting. MaxLi Marine batteries can be charged approx. 3000 times from empty to full, so this is a long-term investment at the very least. LiFePO4 material is durable, and although it is slightly heavier than other Li-Ion materials, LiFePO4 withstands a great deal of load and is therefore very safe and durable. In practice, you can use 100% of the battery capacity, so the battery corresponds to a much larger AGM, lead-acid or gel battery. The MaxLi Marine 12V 60Ah weighs approx. 8kg and corresponds in capacity to an AGM battery of over 100Ah and a lead-acid battery of approx. 120Ah. An AGM or lead-acid battery of corresponding capacity weighs approx. 25-30kg.
- The MaxLi Marine 12V 8Ah and 12V 20Ah are great batteries for ice fishing fishfinders, among other things, because they are small and fit easily in ice fishing bags.
Please note that these two small batteries do not have the Bluetooth feature.
We recommend either the Victron 12V 4A IP65 or the PowerPlus 12V 4A mains charger for these batteries.
- The MaxLi Marine 12V 30Ah and 12V 40Ah are suitable both for ice fishing fishfinders and for light summer setups. Both batteries are great additional batteries for electronics.
Please note that the 12V 30Ah battery does not have the Bluetooth feature, but the 12V 40Ah battery does.
These batteries are not suitable for bow-mount trolling motors or electric outboards.
We recommend the Victron 12V 15A IP65 mains charger for these batteries.
- The MaxLi Marine 12V 60Ah is one of the best all-round batteries for bow-mount trolling motors and electric outboards. It is also excellently suited as a battery for the boat's electronics.
- The MaxLi Marine 12V 80Ah is a great battery for bow-mount trolling motors and electric outboards and is also excellently suited as a battery for the boat's electronics.
- The MaxLi Marine 12V 100Ah is a large battery for a bow-mount trolling motor that lets you fish for even several days. Light and compact size with a considerable amount of power. You can also run a large amount of boat electronics from this battery.
We recommend either the Victron 12V 15A IP65 or the Victron 12V 17A IP67 mains charger for these batteries.
- The MaxLi Marine 24V 50Ah is one of the best all-round batteries for bow-mount trolling motors in a 24V system. A very powerful and compact battery that lets you fish efficiently all day. This battery weighs only 13kg, so if you installed two 12V 100Ah AGM batteries to get the same power, they would weigh approx. 60-70kg in total.
- The MaxLi Marine 24V 80Ah is a powerful battery for bow-mount trolling motors in a 24V system! This battery corresponds to a large number of AGM batteries, so thanks to it you can fish long and efficiently.
- The MaxLi Marine 24V 100Ah is an amazing, extremely powerful battery for bow-mount trolling motors in a 24V system! This battery will not run out of power even in the strongest wind, giving you the freedom to fish for a long time.
We recommend the Victron 24V 12A IP67 mains charger for these batteries.
All MaxLi Marine batteries use Top A cells.
MaxLi Marine battery dimensions:
- 12V 8Ah
- 12V 20Ah - 181*166*76mm
- 12V 30Ah
- 12V 40Ah - 198*166*169mm
- 12V 60Ah 8kg - 250*161*176mm
- 12V 80Ah - 260*168*209mm
- 12V 100Ah 13kg - 329*172*214mm
- 24V 50Ah 14kg - 329*172*214mm
- 24V 80Ah 19.5kg - 483*170*240mm
- 24V 100Ah 26kg - 522*240*218mm
Please note that, depending on the electronics, you can power both the bow-mount trolling motor/electric outboard and the fishfinders from the same 12V lithium battery. However, this must be tested, because it cannot be said for certain for all devices whether interference will occur or not.
MaxLi Marine is not suitable as a starter battery for an outboard motor.
MaxLi Marine batteries can be installed on their side, but we always recommend a battery tray under the battery and an upright position, because today's lithium batteries are so light that waves and impacts on the water as well as fast accelerations and hard braking can damage the battery. The battery comes with a carrying handle and clearly marked terminal bolts.
Charging the battery:
Please note that lithium batteries should always be charged with a charger that has a lithium mode. We recommend Victron 17A or 15A chargers in a 12V system and 12A chargers in a 24V system, which are great smart chargers for charging and maintenance. Always use chargers of at least 10A. If the charger is permanently installed in the boat, remember to choose a charger that withstands moisture.
Winter storage and other important information:
Lithium batteries are not stored fully charged; a charge level of approx. 60-80% is suitable. Charge the battery fully and do not leave it connected to a maintenance charger. Under normal conditions and at room temperature, the battery will not discharge completely during the winter, because the monthly self-discharge is small. The battery self-discharges on average 3% per month. The storage temperature should not fall below -15 °C, so it is not recommended to store the battery in a cold garage or in the boat, so that the BMS controller is not damaged.
Bluetooth connection to your phone - Bluetooth connection from the Maxli 12V 40Ah size upwards. Batteries under 40Ah do not have a Bluetooth connection.
You can download the MaxLi Marine application to your phone and use it to check, among other things, the voltage, the charge level as a percentage, the battery temperature, the general condition of the battery or even the number of cycles used, as the battery has built-in Bluetooth. A handy extra feature that lets you make sure how much power is available for the fishing day or what the power consumption of your electrical devices is.
The Bluetooth connection works with the UMXLI Battery app on Apple or Android phones and tablets.
