Lowrance ActiveTarget 2 XL System is Lowrance’s most advanced live sonar package when you want the clearest and most comprehensive real-time view of fish, lures, and bait schools. At the core of the system is the new XL live sonar transducer, delivering excellent resolution and the widest field of view: full 180° XL views in Forward, Down, and Scout modes with one single transducer.
Lowrance ActiveTarget 2 XL makes both recreational casting and competitive fishing significantly more efficient: you can see fish movement and reactions to your lure instantly and adjust presentation, speed, and casting or anchoring position within seconds. The redesigned structure allows fast view switching, especially between Forward XL and Down XL modes directly from the display, while switching to Scout mode is made easier with a new mounting solution and reference/angle markings for different depths.

When the goal is to maximize effective casts and minimize “unnecessary” adjustments, ActiveTarget 2 XL truly shines in practice: the precise live image helps select the right group of fish, optimize lure presentation, and interpret fish behavior. This translates directly into results, for example when searching for perch and zander or tracking pike in shallower water, when you want to be certain where fish are actually moving and how they react.
Compatibility and installation
The system connects via Ethernet to a compatible Lowrance display, and installation can be tailored to the intended use (e.g. mounts designed for shafts or motors). When using two ActiveTarget 2 XL systems, an exceptionally wide Scout Live 360° view around the boat becomes available in an HDS PRO setup, along with ping sync functionality to help reduce mutual interference between the two transducers.
