Sako Optilock ring with a 30mm diameter and low height. This ring is therefore suitable for rifle scopes with a main tube diameter of 30 millimeters. Optilock rings are manufactured in four different heights: Extra Low, Low, Medium, and High. With the height of the ring, you can adjust the height of the rifle scope, for example, in relation to your stock to suit you perfectly. The lowest rings do not work with rifle scopes equipped with a large objective lens, such as 56mm stalking scopes. Also, thick-barreled guns usually require a slightly higher ring.
To accompany the Sako Optilock rings, you also need the Optilock base, also known as the Optilock Base. These are available in five different types depending on the firearm. These types are: Tikka 17mm, Picatinny/Weaver, Sako Short, Sako Long, and Sako Extended. The Finnish company Osuma also manufactures compatible bases for Optilock rings.
