Sako Optilock -ring with a 1'' diameter and medium height. This ring is therefore suitable for riflescopes with a tube diameter of 1 inch (25.4mm). Optilock rings are manufactured in four different heights: Extra Low, Low, Medium, and High. The height of the ring allows you to adjust the height of the riflescope, for example, in relation to your stock to suit you perfectly. The lowest rings do not work with riflescopes equipped with a large front lens, such as 56mm stalking scopes. Also, thick-barreled guns usually require a step higher ring.
Sako Optilock rings also require an Optilock base, also known as the Optilock Base. These are available in five different types depending on the weapon. These types are: Tikka 17mm, Picatinny/Weaver, Sako Short, Sako Long, and Sako Extended. The Finnish company Osuma also manufactures compatible bases for Optilock rings.
