• The Sissipuukko M07 model features a 12 cm long blade. The sharp blade maintains its cutting ability for a long time and is easy to sharpen again when necessary. Normally, carbon steel is prone to corrosion and rusts easily without proper maintenance. However, in the case of the Sissipuukko, the properties of the carbon steel, such as corrosion resistance, have been enhanced with various coatings.
• A hard yet flexible blade and a versatile grind make the Sissipuukko a tool that performs well in various situations. However, it is not suitable for use as a striking tool; for larger logs, it is advisable to use an axe. For smaller woods, it is suitable, as well as for clearing brush.
• The blade of the knife has a Cerakote coating. The Cerakote coating provides the knife with the best corrosion protection among coatings and allows for the use of colors. An uncoated blade, on the other hand, is a very traditional Finnish knife finish that requires the most maintenance.
• The ergonomic handle of the Sissipuukko is designed to perform well under various conditions. Textured, grippy, and comfortable to the touch; this handle remains secure even in wet conditions, and it does not feel cold in chilly weather. TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate) does not absorb moisture and is not prone to chemicals or temperature changes. The material withstands impacts and wear almost indefinitely.
