The high, 8-inch shaft provides good protection against water, snow, and impacts in addition to support, while still being light and flexible to walk in. The back of the shaft is made of cordura fabric, which allows the shoe to bend nicely with each step and feel feather-light, soft, and extremely comfortable on the foot. The lower part of the shoe, on the other hand, is made of 2.2mm thick, durable nubuck leather. The shoes' GORE-TEX membrane and fabric lining are a breathable and practical combination – keeping feet dry in any weather.

The shoe fits like a glove, and it's no wonder. Thanks to the injection-molded rubber sole, sufficiently low-reaching lacing, and the shoe's encircling, patented Monowrap construction, the step is particularly stable, supportive, and grippy in any terrain.
