Whiting 4B's Hen Cape

Whiting 4B Hen Neck is a versatile product for various wet flies and, to some extent, also for dry flies. These necks offer a wide range of feathers in different sizes for many  different purposes. The feathers at the top of the neck are shorter and stiffer, and as you move down, the feather barb length increases and the barbs become softer. The smaller feathers are excellent for hackles and tails of insect imitations and for upright wings of dry flies. The larger and softer hackles are best suited for wings of Matuka-style streamers and for hackles of leeches and salmon flies.
