Articulation Beads plastic beads are intended for the "joints" of large multi-part fly bodies. You can thread beads onto, for example, pike fly rigs' wire or between the hooks of multi-hook trout flies to add sturdiness. With plastic beads, you can keep a stinger hook better in position and create a good strike point for, for example, Intruder-style flies.

Articulation Beads plastic beads can also be used in, for example, Egg Sucking Leech-style flies to imitate an egg, or simply as a strike point.
